Tough Crowd Tapping

Have you ever faced a tough crowd?

Whether you’re a stand-up comedian in a pub in the north of England, an opera singer or instrumentalist facing an audition panel, a coach leading a group session, or a speaker giving a presentation, sometimes your carefully crafted performance can fall flat… or worse!

I remember, several years ago, playing with my violin and guitar duo at an old folk's residential home. During one beautiful, moving piece, playing with my heart and soul, I closed my eyes.

An old lady in the middle row yelled out: 'She's going to sleep!!'

Talk about ruining the moment.  I remember my mortification, embarrassment and anger to this day!

And I had a recent experience of working with a group for 3 Tapping sessions. The first session went beautifully - introducing EFT and using it to clear their emotions around a recent event.

I went into session #2 full of confidence, looking forward to working on past memories with them.

And it was like pulling teeth!

Talk about a touch crowd. I wanted to yell at them, 'Hang on a moment, you asked me to come here!! I don't need to convince you of anything!'

Then the final session was wonderful. Go figure!

Luckily, I’ve been able to use EFT Tapping to clear out the energy from both these memories and the accompanying emotions.

So now I can laugh about them and not let it affect me when I go up on stage or into a coaching group call again.

Let’s do a bit of clearing around your memories and feelings and the beliefs that you might have taken away from your event – thoughts like ‘I’m not good enough’ or ‘I never want to expose myself to that again!’

Take a moment to close your eyes and think of a memory, recent or in the (distant) past, when you faced a tough crowd.

Join me in this short tapping video to get clarity around the situation and really feel into the emotions, physical sensations and the thoughts running through your head.

I hope that tapping helped you to feel much better about yourself, what you have to share with the world, and your commitment and drive to do so.
