When Perfectionism Starts Running the Show

Perfectionism often begins as something positive.

A desire to do things well, to the absolute best of your ability.
A wish to contribute something meaningful and memorable.

But over time, that healthy drive can turn into something much heavier, even toxic.

You may notice yourself:

• Struggling with every decision - before, during and after!
• Spending too long editing, adjusting or reworking things
• Asking everyone for advice, comparing and doubting yourself
• Delaying sharing your work until it feels 'perfect'
• Feeling frustrated, ashamed, and 'never good enough'

From the outside, it may look like you're getting on with things.

But on the inside it often feels like self-criticism, self-doubt, and never quite arriving.

Perfectionism isn’t a personal flaw.

Very often it’s a protective pattern that once helped you feel safe, capable, loved and accepted - but now keeps you stuck and frustrated.

This workshop offers a space to look at that pattern honestly and start rewiring it - so you can take action more freely and feel real joy, and even pride, in what you create.

What this workshop will help you with

By the end of the session, many participants experience:

• Relief from the constant internal pressure and nagging
• More ease around taking action, even before everything feels perfect
• A kinder, more helpful inner dialogue. An inner coach rather than inner critic
• Greater momentum, clarity and yes, joy and pride
• The ability to move forward, feeling productive and safe

This doesn't happen by forcing yourself to lower your standards.

But by releasing the emotional and energetic tension and fear that perfectionism is trying to manage.

We’ll use EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) tapping as well as other energy and mindset exercises to approach this from all angles.

No previous experience with EFT is needed. I'll be there guiding you every step of the way.

What we’ll do together

This is a practical, experiential workshop, not a lecture.

During the session we’ll use:

  • EFT Tapping: A powerful mind-body-energy technique that helps release emotional stress and shift deeply held patterns.
  • Reflection and guided exploration: Helping you to recognise where perfectionism shows up for you personally.
  • Reframing and emotional release: Allowing you to relax that inner pressure and open up new possibilities.

Everything is done in a supportive small-group environment where you can participate comfortably at your own level.

No prior experience with EFT is needed.

I’m Jenny Clift, an EFT tapping and transformational coach, and I’ve been supporting amazing, thoughtful, capable people for over 10 years, both one-to-one and in group programs and events.

In these workshops, my focus is on creating a safe, practical and joyful space where you can explore what’s really going on beneath the surface, without pressure to share or 'fix' yourself.

For some people, workshops like this become the starting point for deeper 1:1 work together. Either way, all tapping is good tapping!
